Position Overview

The BD Manager will play a critical role in expanding our Specialty Polyamides (SPA) and High-Performance Polymers (HPP) market presence in Korea, focusing on identifying new applications within the automotive sector. This position requires close collaboration with the sales team in Seoul, as well as R&D and business development teams across global locations, including France, USA, Japan, and China. The role emphasizes high-level technical service to customers and the continuous improvement of customer satisfaction through innovative polymer solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business growth by identifying new applications for Specialty Polyamides within the Automotive (Tier 1 or 2) market.
• Analyze customer needs, trends, and competitive landscape to develop a strategic growth plan tailored to the Korean market.
• Propose new R&D initiatives as needed and work closely with international R&D teams to align development efforts.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry seminars, and networking events to uncover new business opportunities and gain market insights.
• Partner with the sales team to uncover customer needs and respond to technical inquiries, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain effective business relationships with clients, providing technical expertise on the full range of Specialty Polyamide products.
• Compile and manage technical data, feedback, and customer requirements, ensuring systematic documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with Company's global research and development (R&D) teams to bring customer insights into the product evolution process.
• Lead new product development initiatives following the Stage Gate Project process for product introduction in Korea.
• Maintain an updated understanding of industry trends to propose innovative product developments, contributing to Company’s market differentiation.

Key Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a business development, R&D, or technical role within the relative industries.
• (Preferred) Strong knowledge of polymer materials, specifically high-performance polymers or specialty polyamides, and their applications in Automotive, Plastic.
• Proficiency with common office IT tools and databases.
• Fluency in Korean (native) and English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent presentation skills for academic and business settings, with strong interpersonal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi-cultural and cross-functional teams.
• Capable of managing projects from ideation to execution, with a focus on timelines, reporting, and product development.
• Strong initiative with a focus on achieving growth and innovation.
• Ability to navigate a competitive and dynamic market environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
