Position Overview

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will oversee the maintenance and improvement of mechanical systems across a state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing facility. This role involves ensuring safe, reliable operations, contributing to plant expansions, and supporting production activities while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance for critical systems, including chillers, boilers, compressors, HVAC, pressure vessels, and firefighting systems.
• Support site construction, expansion, and modification projects through CAD-based designs (P&ID, PFD, Plot Plans).
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Manage electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLC/DCS integration.
• Supervise energy management and air-conditioning/refrigeration systems.
• Ensure proper maintenance of buildings and plant infrastructure.
• Lead fire safety system inspections and upgrades.
• Prepare maintenance plans, technical reports, and project documentation.

Key Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical plant environment.
• Proven experience with plant construction and expansion projects.
• Expertise in chemical plant engineering processes, including piping, tubing, and equipment installation.
• Proficiency in managing electrical/instrumental systems and firefighting facilities.
• Strong CAD skills (2D/3D).
• Business-level English proficiency; fluency in Chinese is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
