Team Manager - Ocean Logistics

As a Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving team performance, overseeing key customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence in ocean freight management..

Responsibilities

1. Team Management and Leadership

  • Lead and manage the ocean logistics team, providing guidance, support, and strategic direction.
  • Oversee team performance through training, development, and regular feedback sessions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Set team goals, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

2. Transportation and Logistics Management

  • Plan and execute ocean transportation strategies, optimizing routes and managing schedules.
  • Handle all logistics documentation and processing, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
  • Collaborate effectively with shipping lines, carriers, and other logistics partners.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the main point of contact for ocean logistics needs.
  • Analyze customer requirements to deliver tailored logistics solutions, meeting client expectations and resolving issues promptly.
  • Manage claims and proactively resolve customer inquiries.

4. Cost Management and Operational Efficiency

  • Analyze logistics costs and manage budgets to ensure efficient operations.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and seek cost-effective logistics solutions.
  • Implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency and reduce expenses.

5. Regulatory Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and legal requirements.
  • Enforce safety standards and environmental protection policies, upholding quality control procedures.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, International Trade, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in ocean logistics and transportation management.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record in providing customized solutions and problem-solving for client needs.
    • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a team effectively.
    • Proficient in English for both written and verbal communication
  • Additional Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of ocean logistics regulations and international shipping protocols.

Additional Information

  • Location: Seoul
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 18:00
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience, aligned with company guidelines
