Data Handling Policy

Adecco Korea Co., Ltd. (the “Company” or “we”) recognizes the importance of your personal information, and complies with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. Through the Data Handling Policy and Data Protection Policy, we inform you of the purpose and method of using the personal information provided by you and the measures to be taken for the protection of personal information. If this Data Handling Policy is amended, the Company will notify thereof on the notice board of website (or through separate notice).

This Data Handling Policy is put into forth from Nov 21, 2023.

 

1. Retention Limitation Obligation

Adecco will keep and use your Personal Data for a limited time period (7 years) during which Adecco provides services to you, that begins from the date of its collection of such Personal Data. If you request withdrawal of subscription for Adecco’s services or withdraw your consent to Adecco’s collection and use of your Personal Data, Adecco will immediately delete your Personal Data; provided, however, that if the collection and use of your Personal Data falls under one of the following exceptions under the relevant laws and regulations (including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.), your Personal Data will be stored for a reason and for a period, both of which are specified below, in a separate database which cannot be accessed from outside:

  1. Records of indication and advertisement: 6 months;
  2. Records of cancellation of contract or withdrawal of offer, : 5 years;
  3. Records of resolution of consumer complaint or disputes, : 3 years.

 

2. Procedures and Method of Destruction of Personal Information

  • Destruction Procedures

Any information input for membership subscription, etc. will be moved to a separate DB (for papers, a separate document box) and destroyed after being retained for a certain period pursuant to the reason for information protection under the Company’s internal policies and other applicable laws and regulations (please see Period of Retention and Use). Unless otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations, the personal information moved to a separate DB will not be used for purposes other than retaining thereof.

  • Destruction Method

Any personal information stored in the form of electronic file will be destroyed using a technical method which makes the records irreproducible, and any print-out version of personal information will be shredded using a shredder or incinerated.

 

3. Delegation of Personal Information Processing

For the performance of services, the Company delegates processing of personal information to outside professional service providers as follows:

4. Openness Obligation

This Policy has been prepared by Adecco to set out our legal obligations in respect of compliance with the applicable Data Protection Laws and Adecco’s internal regulations, as well as, to inform of our commitment to ensure the protection of Personal Data.
